About the role and what you'll do
The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for supporting the efficient, accurate, and reliable flow of materials, products, information, and services across the supply chain. Working closely with suppliers, logistics providers, internal teams, and operational stakeholders, you will help maintain supply continuity, manage purchasing and inventory activities, and support delivery performance in line with company standards and business requirements.
· Coordinate day-to-day supply chain activities, including purchasing, order management, inventory, transportation, and delivery tracking
· Prepare, place, and follow up on purchase orders and supplier requests in accordance with approved processes
· Monitor supplier confirmations, lead times, order status, delivery schedules, and outstanding actions
· Maintain accurate records of suppliers, purchase orders, inventory levels, shipping documents, delivery information, and related transactions
· Work closely with suppliers and logistics providers to resolve delays, shortages, quality issues, documentation gaps, and delivery discrepancies
· Support inventory control activities, including stock monitoring, cycle counts, reconciliations, and investigation of variances
· Coordinate the timely availability of materials, products, packaging, and other supplies required for operations
· Review demand, usage, and supply information to identify potential shortages, excess inventory, or supply risks
· Assist with supplier performance monitoring, including delivery, quality, responsiveness, cost, and compliance requirements
· Maintain effective communication with procurement, operations, finance, manufacturing, warehousing, quality, and other internal teams
· Ensure purchasing and supply chain activities comply with company policies, approved supplier arrangements, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations
· Verify shipping, receiving, and invoice information and support the resolution of discrepancies with relevant stakeholders
· Contribute to process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, risk mitigation activities, and supply chain projects
· Escalate supply interruptions, material shortages, delivery risks, and other issues promptly to the appropriate stakeholders
· Demonstrate ownership of assigned activities and ensure tasks are completed accurately, on time, and with appropriate follow-up
About you
Experience and knowledge
· Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, logistics, inventory control, order management, or a related business environment
· Practical knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier coordination, inventory management, transportation, and delivery operations
· Experience preparing and managing purchase orders, supplier records, shipping documentation, reports, and operational records
· Ability to monitor supply schedules, identify risks, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate timely corrective actions
· Experience working with suppliers, logistics providers, internal departments, and other stakeholders
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, priorities, and follow-up activities
· Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, enterprise resource planning systems, procurement platforms, or inventory management systems
· Relevant degree, certification, vocational training, or professional experience in supply chain management, business, logistics, procurement, or a related field is an advantage
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and locations
