About the role and what you'll do
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of site facilities, equipment, and maintenance activities. Working closely with colleagues, contractors, and operational teams, you will help prevent disruptions, respond to maintenance needs, and ensure work is completed in line with company standards and applicable requirements.
· Carry out planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities for facilities, equipment, and site infrastructure
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests, faults, breakdowns, and urgent operational requirements
· Inspect equipment and facilities, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate corrective actions
· Coordinate with internal teams and approved contractors to schedule and complete maintenance work
· Monitor contractor activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard
· Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, service logs, and equipment documentation
· Support the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules and follow up on outstanding actions
· Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis to reduce recurring faults and improve equipment reliability
· Ensure tools, materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies are available and properly controlled
· Follow health and safety procedures, environmental requirements, company policies, and site standards at all times
· Report hazards, defects, incidents, and maintenance risks promptly to the appropriate stakeholders
· Support emergency response activities and remain calm and effective during urgent situations or operational disruption
· Contribute to maintenance projects, process improvements, and initiatives that improve site efficiency and reliability
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks and ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and with appropriate follow-up
About you
Experience and knowledge
· Previous experience in facilities maintenance, equipment maintenance, building services, manufacturing, engineering, or a related technical environment
· Practical knowledge of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair activities
· Ability to read and follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, and safety requirements
· Experience working with internal teams, service providers, contractors, and other stakeholders
· Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, records, and competing priorities
· Ability to use basic computer applications and maintenance management or work order systems
· Relevant technical certification, vocational training, or trade qualification is an advantage
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, safety, and reliable service
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and locations
