ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Inventory & Cost Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and effective control of inventory throughout our manufacturing process, including Raw Materials, Work in Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods.
In this role, you will oversee inventory transactions, production order reconciliation and closure, inventory audits, and cost analysis while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
What you will do
Inventory Control
Monitor and control Raw Materials, Work in Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods inventory.
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and regular reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and transaction errors.
Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP/MRP system.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
Production Order Management
Review production orders for accuracy and completeness.
Verify material consumption, labor reporting, and production yields.
Reconcile and close manufacturing work orders in a timely manner.
Analyze production variances and identify root causes.
Work closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Cost Control & Reporting
Monitor manufacturing costs related to materials, labor, and overhead.
Analyze inventory and production variances and recommend corrective actions.
Support standard cost updates and cost accounting activities.
Prepare inventory valuation and cost analysis reports for management.
Support month-end and year-end inventory and cost closing activities.
Generate and maintain inventory, production, and cost control reports.
Track KPIs including inventory accuracy, inventory turnover, scrap, production efficiency, and cost variances.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
Support internal and external audits related to inventory and manufacturing costs.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory management and cost control processes.
Participate in cross-functional operational excellence and cost reduction initiatives.
Support ERP system improvements and data integrity initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
You are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both operational and financial data. You enjoy identifying discrepancies, understanding their root causes, and improving processes to ensure accurate and reliable information.
You are also comfortable collaborating across Production, Warehouse, Planning, Operations, and Finance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What we are looking for
3+ years of experience in Inventory Control, Manufacturing Operations, Cost Accounting, or Supply Chain Management.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, Plex, or similar.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of cost accounting and production costing methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Work requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Good command of English, ideally B2 level or above, for effective communication in an international environment.
The position reports to the Operations Manager.
