ABOUT THE ROLE
The Production Manager is responsible for planning for deliveries v’s forecast and managing daily manufacturing operations to ensure OTD with continuously improving yield and process efficiency
Key Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Manage a dynamic system of risk assessment to provide a safe workspace for internal and external stakeholders
Equipment and Maintenance
Optimise machine and process production output.
Coordinate maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability and reliability
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance planning
Team Management
Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors and operators. Set performance objectives and conduct performance reviews
Identify and manage training needs and support employee development initiatives, including multi-skills and operational flexibility.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Production Planning and Execution
Maintain production plans in line with sales forecasts, raw material delivery and operational objectives
Manage and monitor daily and weekly production schedules. Optimize utilization of employee resources, equipment, and materials to meet objectives.
Oversee stock counting.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Track and analyze operational KPIs such as yield, performance, MTTF, quality, OEE and OTD
Prepare regular production reports for management and operational reviews. Ensure timely and accurate communication of operational performance and issues
Process Execution and Operational Interface
Ensure manufacturing activities are executed in accordance with processes and standards defined in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering and industrialization teams
Interface with Quality teams to ensure proper analysis of defects and act on root causes to maintain quality objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, supply chain, QHSE, IT and Physical security teams to ensure smooth operations and standards compliance.
Support alignment between production capabilities and business requirements
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline
Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role
Analysis and implementation of lean improvement
Active Participation in a continuous improvement scheme
Skills and Competencies
Lead by example attitude with hands-on leadership and team management skills
Ability to operate within a matrix organization and collaborate with global stakeholders
Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and production processes in a secure environment
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational performance
Knowledge in ERP (preferably MS Dynamics) and production reporting tools
Synthesis and organizational skills
Working Conditions
Regular presence on the production floor
Flexibility in working hours based on operational needs and shift organization.
