ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our DevOps team and drive infrastructure strategy across cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities, able to mentor engineers, manage stakeholders, and plan large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to delivery.

Main missions:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the DevOps engineering team, setting technical direction, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Plan, design, and oversee large-scale infrastructure projects spanning cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premises environments, from initial scoping and architecture through to delivery and operations.

• Define and implement infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business goals, including capacity planning, cost optimisation, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Architect, manage, and maintain production and non-production Kubernetes clusters using Rancher at enterprise scale.

• Design, build, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for C#/.NET, Flutter, Java (Spring Boot, Quarkus) and other application stacks.

• Create, maintain, and govern Helm Charts and deployment standards for Kubernetes applications across all environments.

• Oversee and govern release cycles across Dev, SIT, UAT, and Production, ensuring stability and compliance.

• Lead the implementation of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure high system availability.

• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and best practices using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools across the organisation.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, architects, and development teams to align infrastructure decisions with product and business strategy.

• Manage and deploy middleware services including RabbitMQ, Redis, and PostgreSQL at scale.

• Embed DevSecOps principles into team workflows, ensuring security and compliance are integrated at every stage of the delivery pipeline.

ABOUT YOU
You are/have:

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or systems engineering, including experience in a senior or team lead capacity

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop DevOps teams, manage workloads, and drive performance

• Strong experience designing and delivering complex infrastructure projects across cloud and on-premises environments, with solid planning and stakeholder management skills

• Solid understanding of hybrid architectures, networking, and security (VPNs, firewalls, load balancing)

• Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (K8s) and Rancher for cluster administration and multi-environment management

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including compute, storage, networking, and managed services

• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise (Terraform and/or Ansible), with experience promoting and enforcing IaC best practices

• Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise toolchains (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket CI, AWS DevOps)

• Strong scripting skills (Bash and/or Python) for automation and operational tooling

• Experience with Helm Charts and complex multi-service deployments

• Hands-on experience with production systems such as RabbitMQ, Redis, and PostgreSQL

• Familiarity with deployment pipelines for modern application stacks (e.g. .NET, Flutter, Java)

• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability management, secrets handling, and compliance-driven pipelines

• Solid experience with Git, branching strategies, and GitOps practices

• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and system resilience planning

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strategic mindset, balancing short-term delivery with long-term infrastructure vision

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) are a plus
